It is with great joy that we accept and announce the referral of our daughter, Yuan Feng Zhu! She was born 26Apr04 and was admitted to the Nanning City Social Welfare Institute, Guangxi Provence, in July. Her name comes from the famous national music called "fernleaf hedge bamboo under the moonlight". The music has a happy rhythm, with gainly bamboo shadow which makes you fall into intoxication (I'm sure we're all familiar with this music!). Fengzhu was also the king of the auspicious bamboo, and, thus, those naming her have great hopes for her. She was placed into foster care and remains with this foster family at this time.

Her development reports her as "clever, cute and charming. She will "make a prank" with something of the adults and then forget where she hid it. She is like a bud waiting to come out. She is clever and beautiful, and loved by everyone."

I'm sure it will be difficult for her to leave everything and everyone she has known in her short life. We are so anxious to meet her and make her part of our family. She really needs a smile!

The name we have chosen for her is Lara (lah'-ruh) FengZhu. We have been blessed to receive such a beautiful gift!
